NAMASTE
And welcome to the Dharma Initiative.
---
It's 1973, and the Dharma Initiative, despite some real estate disputes with the Island's native Hostiles, is in its prime. New recruits are arriving monthly off the submarines, the community is thriving, and those little experiments that few know about and even fewer ever mention...they're all going according to plan.
Unfortunately, the Hostiles have a plan of their own, and despite the shaky truce between the two factions, they're willing to go to any lengths to achieve their goals. The Dharma people think they're safe inside their sonic fence, safe from the threat the jungle poses, but little do they know that a great deal of that danger is lurking, at this very moment, right in their midst. That's right: Richard Alpert's got his own people in Dharmaville, in deep cover -- some might be posing as new recruits, fresh from the outside world, others could be established members of the Initiative who've been there for years. But these agents have one thing in common: they're all part of the Hostiles' plan for the overthrow of Dharma, a plan not even they fully understand.
Where do our favorite Lostaways fit in? Well, they're not the crash survivors we all know. On the contrary; in this reality, they're all members of the Dharma Initiative, no time travel necessary. They remember nothing of the crash or the ensuing months...because it never happened.
So collect your jumpsuits and job assignments, and say NAMASTE. You're in the Dharma Initiative now.
And welcome to the Dharma Initiative.
