At first Eko had been taken aback and completely weirded out when the Dharma Initiative people had given him the work assignment of Teacher, however, now as he folded his Bible and added a few notes onto the page in front of him, Eko realized teaching a lesson was just like a non-religious version of giving a sermon.
Still, it was lucky he'd be teaching the younger of the children as being brought up by war lords he'd never exactly been given the greatest education himself.
As he scribbled down a few more notes on ancient Egypt and finished up a quiz on the subject, he walked to the board and began drawing hieroglyphs on the board, making sure he'd waste no time in his first lesson tomorrow.

She had forgotten her science book in the classroom, and had made her way into the large room when she spotted a large stranger...very large in fact, sitting there writing.
Blinking and standing awkwardly in the doorway.
"Oh...uh...Hi. I--I'm Annie, I just...uh..."
Grabbing her book from the top of her desk, and starting back out.

As he attempted to draw a bird type symbol, he heard footsteps and turned to face a small child, who was taking a book and giving her name, Annie.
"Hello Annie." He replied to her, stepping forward away from the blackboard. "I am Mr. Eko."
He was inclined to let her leave and get back to his heiroglyphics, however something told him he should get to know a possible student in the chance of increasing popularity amongst his class.
"Tell me, Annie, how old are you? Is this your usual classroom?"
